A modern platform bringing together membership management, tournaments and online payments. I helped develop Backgammon.dk and have since expanded the platform with new membership features and integration of the DrawBoss tournament system.
The Danish Backgammon Federation had an older website without CMS functionality, and several tasks involving members, membership fees and tournaments were handled manually. The federation needed a more modern solution with easier content editing and membership administration.
The federation also wanted to make the website more engaging for members by highlighting ratings, match results and personal milestones, giving players a better way to follow their progress.
When the federation took over the DrawBoss tournament system in 2025, a new requirement emerged: DrawBoss needed to become part of Backgammon.dk, using the federation's existing login, membership database and rating system.
I helped develop the new Backgammon.dk with simple, custom-built CMS functionality and have since expanded the platform with self-service features, tournament registration, online membership payments and more efficient administrative workflows.
I've also developed membership features that make it easier to follow ratings, match results and milestones, giving players a clearer overview of their achievements and next goals.
DrawBoss has been redesigned to fit naturally into Backgammon.dk. I integrated it with the federation's existing login, membership database and rating system, allowing the two solutions to work together.
We have used Saalbach Consult for some years, and whether it has been development projects, smaller adjustments or bug fixes, Jon is both fast and flexible. He has integrated new tools on our platform and developed a large part of the functionality we enjoy today.
